This 40 minute Self Paced eLearning course is designed to teach employees what safe and active fire prevention is, and how to respond correctly to fire risks in the workplace. It also covers emergency evacuation procedures and how to assess whether you should tackle a fire yourself or not.

This awareness course that covers different types of fires, types of extinguishers, PASS system for operating extinguishers, evacuation procedures and best practice policies to ensure staff safety in such an emergency. Employees will also be aware of their legal obligations to fire safety, and will learn how to correctly deal with a fire if one occurs.

Upon completion of this course, participants will learn:

● What the law says about fire in the workplace.
● How to assess fire risks and prevent fires.
● How to reduce the risks of fire in the workplace.
● What to do when there is a fire in the workplace.
● What the main types of fire extinguishers are and how to use them properly.
● What to do when there is an emergency evacuation.

This course is designed for organisation-wide delivery for employees and employers. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance on successful completion of this course.
