Upon completion of this course, participants will learn:

  • What the legal definitions of bullying and harassment are.

  • How to recognise the signs of bullying and harassment.

  • The negative effects bullying and harassment can have on employee and on the workplace.

  • What the responsibility of employers and bystanders are in the workplace

  • What to do if you are being harassed, discriminated against, or bullied in the workplace.

  • How to recognise if certain behaviour is considered bullying, harassment or discrimination, or not.

This course is designed for organisation-wide delivery and provides employees and employers with general knowledge of the legal requirements, basic principles, and practices relating to bullying and harassment in the workplace.

Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, employees will have the necessary information to be able to respond correctly to harassment and bullying in the workplace. Employees will also be aware of their legal obligations to workplace behaviour in The Act, and will learn how to correctly identify whether certain behaviour should be reported or not.
